GHCCM HUB

Food, shelter or medicine

No gift is too small or too large. Over 33,000 Catawba County citizens have to choose between hunger, home, or health every day. Your support can make a difference. Every $5 given provides someone with so much more…a bag of groceries, another month of housing, a much needed bottle of insulin. For giving options click on the quick link “How can you help?”

Honor Cards

Honor Cards
We provide honor cards for all occasions: birthdays, anniversaries, remember someone, thank someone, recognize someone or just because. It is a great way to support GHCCM and let someone know you are thinking of them. To get your honor cards, contact Lillian Carte at 327-0979 ext. 231.

ALFA, which provides community outreach, prevention education and medical case management services to those who are affected or infected by HIV/AIDS in Alexander, Alleghany, Ashe, Burke, Catawba, Caldwell, Lincoln, Watauga and Wilkes counties, announced it has chosen GHCCM as a testing site for patients of the ministry’s Healthcare Services Division, the only free clinic in Catawba County. ALFA will provide free and confidential HIV counseling, testing and referral services. GHCCM will provide confidential office space for counseling and testing. ALFA will be at GHCCM during Tuesday night clinics and on Wednesday mornings.

“Early diagnosis and quick entry into care saves lives,” said Rodney Tucker, Executive Director of ALFA. “Knowing your HIV status is the first step toward treatment. We are excited to expand our services and partner with GHCCM.”

“This partnership gives area residents opportunities for better personal health care management, said Dr. Roger D. Baker, GHCCM Executive Director. “GHCCM has always been open to community collaborations which result in more access for our citizens.”

For more information about ALFA, call Rodney Tucker, (828) 322-1447 Ext. 224. For more information about GHCCM’s clinic, call Leann Shull, Director of HealthCare Services, at (828) 345-0854.
