Our Mission:

To provide quality, comprehensive diabetes self-management education.

A collaboration service between Kate B. Reynolds Foundation, Catawba Valley Community College, Greater Hickory Cooperative Christian Ministry, Catawba Valley Medical Center, and Medical Access for Catawba County.

Managing diabetes requires a combination of diet, exercise, medication and coping. The Diabetes Education Center's caring staff can help you manage all these aspects of your care.

We offer a series of classes that will teach you:

All about diabetes
Exercise and medication management
Prevention, complications, and coping
Tips for meal planning

Classes are available at no cost to:

Any Catawba County resident who is uninsured or underinsured
Clients of Greater Hickory Cooperative Christian Ministry
Clients of Medical Access for Catawba County (MACC)

Class Schedule
9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday
