Honor Cards
We provide honor cards for all occasions: birthdays, anniversaries, remember someone, thank someone, recognize someone or just because. It is a great way to support GHCCM and let someone know you are thinking of them. To get your honor cards, contact Lillian Carte at 327-0979 ext. 231.

We Hear You America!

Reader’s Digest has chosen Hickory Mayor Rudy Wright as one of America’s mayors. As a part of this honor, the Mayor gets to choose a project for citizens (not just in Hickory) to cast their vote. Mayor Wright has chosen the GHCCM Dental Program as his project. Specifically, the installation of a panoramic X-Ray unit that will increase the number of patients seen. The Free Dental Clinic serves adults who otherwise would not have access to dental services. The top prize is $50,000 and would cover all the costs associated with this project!

Go to www.rd.com and click on We Hear You America. Enter Hickory, NC 28602, click and then complete the registration. You are ready to vote! Enter the words given in the box provided and VOTE! Turn on your sound and hear a “woo hoo”.

What We Do

Greater Hickory Cooperative Christian Ministry assists Catawba County’s unemployed, underemployed and indigent residents by providing crisis relief, support, and education, as well as health care and food. Greater Hickory Cooperative Christian Ministry is known as “The Hub Organization” because we serve the clients of most other nonprofits in the area.

What we do

GHCCM offers health care and pharmacy support to all Catawba County adults who meet our eligibility guidelines. Financial assistance and food is distributed to citizens of the Greater Hickory area who are eligible. Individuals seeking assistance will need a photo ID, Social Security card (or equivalent), proof of address, Medicaid denial letter, and proof of income for everyone in the home.
